- ·Develop and implement algorithms that fuse vehicle signals (e.g., CAN, IMU, TPMS) and tire-mounted sensor data using estimation techniques such as Kalman filters, observers, and machine learning.
- Design signal processing pipelines to extract features and insights from high-frequency sensor data collected on tire and vehicle platforms.
- Build and validate models (both physics-based and machine learning) for estimating tire wear, load, friction, slip, road surface condition, and other performance-relevant quantities.
- Collaborate with vehicle dynamics experts to ensure physical fidelity and robustness of the algorithms.
- Translate algorithms into embedded, real-time software suitable for deployment on on-tire or in-vehicle systems.
- Benchmark algorithm performance under varying road, load, and environmental conditions.
- Bachelors or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls, or a related field with 5+ years of experience.
- Proven expertise in vehicle dynamics, tire mechanics, and estimation or signal processing algorithms.
- Hands-on experience in Kalman filtering (EKF/UKF), particle filters, observer design, and machine learning for time-series data.
- Experience with physics-based modeling tools (e.g., MF-Tyre, FTire, CDTire) and multibody simulation platforms (e.g., CarMaker, VI-Grade, CarSim).
- Strong programming skills in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and embedded environments.
- Familiarity with embedded system constraints, lightweight model deployment, and automotive-grade software development.
