- Handle obsolescence for our existing fleet to ensure customer satisfaction
- Develop solutions that expand our product portfolio
- Collaborate with multiple collaborators to deliver solutions to both new and existing customers
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, control, aerospace, mechanical or instrumentation engineering with a proven understanding of gas turbine technology and engine operation.
- 5-10 years of validated experience in developing software solutions, including proficiency in text-based programming languages (such as C, C++) and practical experience with PLC software and hardware interfaces (e.g. communication protocols and I/O modules) is an asset.
- Familiarity with scripting tools (e.g., Visual Basic, Python), systems engineering techniques (e.g., QFD, V&V, RCA, risk analysis), and experience in designing and testing HMI screens for monitoring and control. Algorithm development, implementation, verification and validation experience using Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs an asset.
- The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn and pro-activeness in problem-solving and exploring new fields, coupled with a creative demeanor for developing innovative solutions.
- They must possess a high level of autonomy, a commitment to collaborator management, and a passion for personal development and continuous improvement, while adhering to lean methodology and a minimum viable product approach.
- Strong communication and time management skills, fluency in English, and availability to travel to Canada for 1-2 months yearly, with experience in technical project management, gated design processes and SCRUM teams being an asset.
