Key duties include monitoring, patrolling, reporting, and enforcing safety policies.Key Responsibilities
  • Patrolling: Regularly inspect, on foot or by vehicle, the premises (doors, windows, gates) to prevent unauthorized access or safety hazards.
  • Access Control: Monitor entrances, check IDs, and ensure employees, visitors, and contractors sign in and out.
  • Monitoring Systems:
Operate, monitor, and maintain surveillance cameras (CCTV) and alarm systems.
  • Incident Response: Act as first responders during emergencies (fires, security threats, medical issues), ensuring safety and contacting law enforcement when necessary.
  • Reporting: Create detailed incident reports and daily logs of observations and actions taken.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Observation: High level of vigilance and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with the public and staff.
  • Conflict Resolution: Ability to handle difficult situations or aggressive individuals calmly.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long periods and patrol extensively.
  • Licensing: Valid security guard license or registration, as required by local laws.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Common Job Requirements
