· Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support.
· Manage the development and performance of kitchen staff.
· Ensure all staff adhere to safety and hygiene standards.· Inventory and Ordering:
· Check stock levels and order supplies as needed.
· Monitor food costs and identify areas for improvement.
· Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items.· Hygiene and Safety:
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.
· Ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained properly.
· Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations.· Other Duties:
· Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed.
· Participate in menu planning and seasonal offerings.
· Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create innovative dishes.
· Lead by example and maintain a positive and productive kitchen culture. ·Qualifications and Skills:
· Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a similar role.
· Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
· Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
· Ability to follow instructions and work accurately.
