Read and create technical drawings
Assembly process
3D Modelling (CAD) preferably Siemens NX or similar
2D Drafting

General MS Office skills

Technical Knowledge

Strong understanding of mechanical design principles
Material selection with understanding of material science fundamentals
Manufacturing processes and limitation
GD& T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
Design to cost

Organizational skills

Documentation and ability to have a professional exchange with colleagues spread across the globe
Systematic planning and execution
Understanding of local eco-system

Soft skills

Good communication skills (English)

What kind of an experience helpsWith at least 5 years of experience in

Full product life cycle
DFM and DFA (Design for manufacturability and design for assembly)
Working in a heavy industry involving

Steel/Welding processes (for instance automotive industry)
Chemical industry (Materials, glue, rubber..)
Relevant standards (Local to India, ISO, etc.)
Desirable but not a must

Process Instrumentation industry
Field installation
