Reports To: Branch Manager / Sales Manager – LiabilitiesJob Summary:The Banking Officer – Current Account is responsible for acquiring new current account customers, deepening relationships with existing clients, and driving CASA (Current Account Savings Account) growth. The role involves fieldwork, cross-selling of banking products, and ensuring high levels of customer service.Key Responsibilities:Acquisition:Acquire new-to-bank current account customers through direct sourcing, referrals, and channel partnerships.Focus on self-employed professionals, small businesses, traders, and corporates for account acquisition.Relationship Management:Maintain and grow relationships with existing current account holders.Identify cross-sell opportunities for products such as term deposits, payment solutions, merchant services, and loans.Sales Target Achievement:Meet monthly and quarterly targets for account acquisition, balance build-up, and cross-sell.Drive higher product penetration per customer.Compliance & KYC:Ensure complete and error-free documentation and compliance with KYC norms.Adhere to internal processes and regulatory guidelines.Customer Service:Resolve customer queries and complaints in a timely and effective manner.Ensure excellent customer experience through proactive engagement.Key Skills & Competencies:Strong communication and interpersonal skillsSales-driven with a target-oriented mindsetGood knowledge of current account features and banking processesAbility to network and build client relationshipsFamiliarity with KYC, compliance, and regulatory requirementsQualifications & Experience:Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline1–3 years of experience in banking sales, preferably in CASA or current accountsFreshers with strong sales aptitude may also be considered
