Academic Counsellor / Student Counsellor (On-Site) — IndoreRole overviewWe are hiring a proactive Academic Counsellor to guide students through our courses, schedule and drive attendance for demo sessions, manage fees and documentation, and keep students informed about upcoming batches. This is an *On-site* role open only to candidates based in *Indore* or willing to relocate to Indore.Key responsibilities- Student counselling: Explain course structures, outcomes, fees, and career paths clearly in Hindi and English.- Demo management: Call leads to schedule demos, send reminders, ensure high show-up rates, and collect feedback.- Admissions and fees: Handle fee discussions, invoicing/receipts, payment follow-ups, basic reconciliation, and maintain accurate records.- Lead handling: Make outbound calls, respond to enquiries (calls/WhatsApp), qualify leads, and drive conversions.- Batch coordination: Inform students about new batches, share schedules, and maintain attendance/roster updates.- CRM and reporting: Update CRM/Google Sheets daily, track funnel metrics, and share MIS reports with management.- Service and retention: Address student queries, escalate issues, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.- Front-desk support: Greet walk-ins, manage basic documentation, and coordinate with faculty/operations.Must-have requirements- Location: Based in *Indore* or ready to relocate to Indore before joining.- Availability: Comfortable with 6-day academic schedules and peak-hour calling.- Communication: Clear, empathetic speaking skills with a student-first approach.Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree preferred.- 1–3 years of experience in counselling/admissions/inside sales/telecalling. Location: Must be currently residing in Indore or ready to relocate before joining. Outstation candidates will be considered only if they can attend an in-person interview in Indore.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication in Hindi and good working knowledge of English. Should be confident, clear, and student-friendly in approach.
Experience:
1–3 years of experience in student counselling, academic advising, telecalling, or admissions preferred.
Fresh graduates with strong communication skills and interest in counselling may also apply.
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any field. Background in education, business, or psychology will be an advantage.
Technical Proficiency:
Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, Google Sheets, Emails).
Comfortable using WhatsApp Business, calling software, and CRM tools.
Work Ethic:
Professional, punctual, and responsible with follow-ups.
Able to manage multiple student enquiries simultaneously and meet daily calling targets.
Should maintain decorum and represent the institute positively at all times.
Availability:
Must be available for a 6-day working schedule (Monday–Saturday).
Flexible to handle calls, demos, and batch communications during academic hours.
Personality Traits:
Energetic, persuasive, and empathetic towards students.
Team player with eagerness to learn and grow in an academic setup.
Strong attention to detail, especially in fee discussions and record maintenance.
Preferred:
Candidates with experience in coaching institutes, training centers, or edtech companies.
