As an ethical hacker, in this role your principal mission will be to identify security loopholes in various vendor smartphones and advise on security considerations.What you will be expected to do:Identify information dissemination channels:
- Perform reconnaissance and test various hacking solutions available over the internet (Darkweb, Forums, etc.).
- Work with the Risk team to absorb the results of customer visits and field audits. Do sample field audits with risk.
- Standardize phone model testing procedures by creating a model-level security risk report by testing parameters
- Periodic security review of phone models by creating the above report on a regular basis
- Help in creating MDM policy and review on a regular basis
- Periodically test the devices with the latest patch/fix provided by vendors.
- Work on Tampering Detection solutions for Android devices
- Suggest firmware upgrades to the programs team for implementation by MDM providers and/or the Android team.
- Good knowledge of Android mobile phone internals - Hardware, Firmware, OS, and MDM-level security, this knowledge aid into building security solutions to prevent Flashing.
- Expertise in phone security bypass testing - Flashing, Mobile device management (MDM) bypass, Factory Reset Protection (FRP) bypass, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) bypass, etc.
- Hands-on experience with motherboard tampering, ISP PinOut, and Chip-Off methods of flashing.
- Practical experience with various testing tools like Chimera, Pandora, Infinity CM2, UnlockTool, MDMFix Tool, or any other similar tool.
- Previous experience with Samsung, Nokia, Tecno, Infinix, Itel, VIVO, and ZTE smartphones is preferred.
