Detailed description: Sr. Manager - Program Purchase (2W) Enabling a software-defined, electrified future. Mission of the Role: Identifying & Sourcing cost competitive Mechanical suppliers for 2W & lead Program purchasing along with Visteon global commodity for electronics & displays. Key Objectives of this Role: Lead Program purchasing for 2W Pursuits & Forward models. Enhance cost competitiveness by inducting new suppliers in mechanical domain. Work towards capex optimization for mechanical parts tooling etc. Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers. Provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities. Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods. Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications. Key Performance Indicators: Bring down cost of 2W mechanical commodity parts significantly. Reduce capex cost levels for mechanical parts vendor tooling. Ensure part quality as per company's specified requirements & timely delivery. Commit, lead & achieve year over year cost improvement from suppliers. Key Year One Deliverables: Get 1 Injection molding & 1 Applique - cost competitive supplier inducted in Visteon for 2W's. Support 2W pursuits with target cost improvement of min 20%. Qualification, Experience and Skills: Min 15 years of experience in Program purchasing in automotive Tier 1, preferably in mechanical domain. Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding, and cost breakdown. Experience collaborating with Executive Team and Business Leaders. Able to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements. Computer literate, with advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills/abilities.
