We are seeking a highly motivated Associate General Manager with proven experience in the Energy & Utility sector, especially in Telecommunication and Metering industries. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end project delivery, operations, and maintenance of metering infrastructure, including AMI, HES, MDM, and related systems. This role combines strong project and business management capabilities with deep technical knowledge of deployment, network operations, and field support in the energy domain.Key Responsibilities:Project Management & DeploymentLead planning and execution of AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) deployment projects, including smart meters, communication modules, and backend systems (HES/MDM).Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones, budgets, and timelines are met.Manage vendor relationships and third-party contractors for timely delivery and compliance.Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies.Operational ManagementOversee day-to-day operations and maintenance (O&M) of utility metering infrastructure.Ensure system uptime, performance, and availability for HES, MDM, and telecommunication networks.Manage field operations for installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and service restoration.Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.Technical OversightEnsure smooth integration and functionality of HES (Head-End Systems) with MDM platforms and field devices.Collaborate with IT/OT teams to maintain data integrity, cybersecurity, and network health.Analyze system performance reports and implement corrective actions as required.Business Management & ReportingMonitor and control project costs, invoicing, and financial reporting in alignment with business goals.Provide regular status reports, KPIs, and dashboards to senior leadership and stakeholders.Identify new business opportunities and contribute to proposal development and strategic planning.RequirementsKey Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).14+ years of relevant experience in Energy, Utilities, or Telecommunication, with a focus on metering systems and operations.Strong knowledge of AMI, HES, MDM, and smart grid technologies.Solid understanding of project lifecycle management, field deployment strategies, and vendor coordination.Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, JIRA) and reporting systems.Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Experience in regulatory compliance and utility industry standards is a plus.
