You will report to the engineering manager and work as an individual contributor participating in designing and development of software. This role will have collaboration with business partners, multiple Visa IT teams and third-party vendors. The portfolio includes SaaS and hosted packaged applications such as Workday, Cornerstone, ADP, SmartRecruiters, ServiceNow, and some homegrown solutions.We are looking for a Fullstack Developer that will design and develop high volume, low latency applications for mission-critical system, delivering high availability. You will support web-based application development and maintenance and contribute to and grow our software engineering competency. The Fullstack Developer must have broad experience in web application development..If this sounds exciting, we want to chat and tell you more about our work culture and environment and see if this will be a good fit for both of us.HR or Integration Services experience a distinct plus.The selected candidate must have excellent communication skills and strong organizational skills, be able to meet deadlines, as well as interact effectively with other developers, and management.Requirements & Skills:· Experience in full stack technology, in one or more of the following technologies- Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript, NoSQL, Maven, Design Patterns, Test Automation framework.· Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular, jQuery and LESS· Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)· Experience with databases (e.g. MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design· Experience with agile development incorporating Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, utilizing technologies such as GIT, Maven, and Jenkins.· Ability to create wireframes and responsive designs that result in a great user experience.· Expert building web applications from the ground up.· Develop code that aligns with design specifications and meets security and standard coding quality processes. Coding must adhere to all standards for security & quality, be easily maintainable and have high system performance.· Build conceptual architecture diagrams, design documents, maintain code repository, build unit/functional tests, and assist with code reviews.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex problems.This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
· 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.Preferred Qualifications:
· 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
· Strong understanding of the following technologies: REST API’s, JSON and/or XML.
· Experience building software systems and solutions with Java, Springboot
· Experience with database development, data transformation & data security.
· Experience in integrating third party APIs in applications is required (i.e. Workday, Fieldglass, SmartRecruiters, ServiceNOW).
· Strong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualize processes and outcomes.
· Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging complex codebase.
· Experience being part of an Agile/Scrum team and following processes.
