Job Description:#LI-DNIJob Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DGM- MEP Execution to oversee and manage the execution of MEP works for our high-rise residential or commercial projects. The ideal candidate should have over 17 years of experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of managing MEP activities on large-scale projects, particularly high-rise buildings.The Cluster MEP Execution Manager will be responsible for managing the MEP project team, ensuring the timely and efficient execution of all MEP-related works, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to safety regulations on-site. You will be the key point of contact between the site team, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders, driving the project to successful completion.Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
Lead and manage all MEP activities from design phase to commissioning for high-rise residential or commercial projects.
Ensure the MEP systems' implementation aligns with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Coordinate and manage the work of MEP contractors and subcontractors.
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Prepare and review detailed MEP execution plans, schedules, and progress reports.
Team Management:
Lead a team of MEP engineers, supervisors, and technicians, ensuring efficient task allocation and performance management.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff.
Coordinate with other departments such as civil, structural, and architectural to ensure smooth integration of MEP systems.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all MEP systems are installed as per the design, specifications, and applicable codes/standards.
Implement quality control measures and conduct regular inspections of work to ensure high standards.
Address and resolve any quality or technical issues that arise during execution.
Budget & Cost Management:
Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budget, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
Review procurement plans for MEP materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and timely delivery.
Health & Safety:
Enforce strict adherence to safety standards and regulations on-site.
Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain a safe working environment.
Ensure the MEP team is trained on safety protocols and best practices.
Stakeholder Communication:
Act as the main point of contact for all MEP-related matters with clients, contractors, and consultants.
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders regarding progress, issues, and solutions.
Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:
Address and resolve any technical or operational challenges during project execution.
Lead troubleshooting efforts during system testing and commissioning phases.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or related field).
Minimum of 15 years of experience in MEP execution, with a strong background in managing high-rise residential or commercial projects.
Proven expertise in managing MEP works across multiple project clusters/sites.
Strong experience in planning, scheduling, and managing large-scale MEP projects.
Extensive knowledge of MEP systems design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
In-depth understanding of local building codes, standards, and regulations.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, BIM).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Engineering or Project Management.
PMP or equivalent project management certification.
Previous experience working with international or large-scale construction companies.
Familiarity with sustainability and energy-efficient building practices.
Work Conditions:
Site-based role, with regular site visits and hands-on involvement in project execution.
