Job Title Product Sourcing Engineer - X Ray DevicesJob DescriptionThe Product Sourcing Engineer (PSE) plays a pivotal role in driving advanced and new product development efforts by establishing and industrializing the supplier base for innovation projects. The role leads the creation of Product Cost Roadmaps for existing products, aiming to deliver improvements in cost efficiency, quality, and risk mitigation. It actively engages suppliers in BoM RFP processes to secure competitive pricing and comprehensive participation, while conducting Design for Excellence (DfX) activities to enhance overall product value. The PSE facilitates early supplier innovation events to promote collaboration and technical input, working closely with Innovation and Engineering teams to incorporate breakthrough ideas into product design—ultimately optimizing propositions and ensuring maximum value for Philips and its customers.Your role:Drives supplier participation in BoM RFPs for technical fit and cost competitivenessLeads DfX initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and product performanceFacilitates early supplier innovation and integrates it into designPartners with Engineering to leverage supplier expertise and influence specificationsChampions product cost and quality strategies across the portfolioEnsures supplier readiness for New Product IntroductionsBuilds cost roadmaps post-launch, driving continuous improvementsShapes cost engineering strategies through cross-functional collaborationExecutes impactful sourcing, cost, and risk reduction projectsYou're the right fit if you have:Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering.10+ years of proven expertise in Product Sourcing, Supplier Innovation, and Cost Engineering, consistently driving value through strategic supplier engagement, technical insights, and process optimization.Key Skills:DfX (Design for Excellence) – cost, quality & risk optimizationBoM RFP Leadership – supplier engagement & pricing strategyCost Roadmapping – lifecycle cost planning & controlSupplier Innovation – early collaboration & integrationNew Product Introduction (NPI) – supplier readiness & ramp-upManufacturing Know-how – process capability & industrializationCost Engineering – analysis & reduction strategiesCross-Functional Collaboration – engineering, innovation & sourcing teamsProject Management – strategic sourcing initiativesSupplier Relationship Management – partnerships & performanceHow we work together
