- Providing leadership expertise and oversight of the operations of Financial Reporting in India
- Ensure consistency across policy, standards, process and procedure
- Provide partnership with our stakeholders, support and assurance to enable effective delivery
- Improve quality of service delivery within the business, control environment and productivity
- Drive continuous improvement through innovation / best practices and ensure compliance
- Evolve the operating model to drive scalability & client centricity, best in class operations with leading industry standards
- Effectively partner with IT and Client side of the organization
- Change agent mentality with the business acumen to interact with senior business stakeholders across the global organization possessing the ability to offer creative solutions to meet all party requirements
- Support new business integration and ensure operating models are designed to deliver best of breed service to clients leveraging global footprint as necessary
- Responsible for determining the future direction of the global financial reporting team through driving continuous improvements to functional processes and systems
- Set individual and team targets and priorities; maintain high standards of client service; conduct performance appraisals and give feedback on individual and team performance through the performance review process
- Ensure self and team anticipates, monitors, actively manages and reports all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities
- Act in accordance with Risk Excellence and role model Ethical behaviour and decision making as part of our Way Ahead foundation
- Good understanding of Financial & Reg reporting requirements and the multiple internal and external dependencies required to successfully manage the client delivery
- Exposure to end-to-end Fund Accounting & Admin, Custody and Middle Office Operations, Risk Oversight and acumen to transform
- Responsible for oversight of complex client requirements around financials, peak cycles
- Drive continuous improvement: productivity, quality, and Risk Excellence
- Identify and develop opportunities for transformation and capacity creation. Drive productivity and operational effectiveness, Strive for cutting-edge solutions, that are resilient and scalable
- Manage the senior leadership team and oversee all operational resolutions
- Address custom client requests, manage production activities - VPs, AVPs and officer teams
- Navigate a large, global organization. Build meaningful relationships and develop an effective network.
- Work successfully in a matrixed environment. Effectively manage multiple stakeholders, determine highest priorities for the organization, identify and resolve contention between directives.
- Proven leadership skills as well as managing and developing a high performing operations team.
- Excellent time management, presentation skills and communication to multiple levels (clients, other 3rd parties, executives, peers, subordinates). Flexibility across multiple communication formats
- Proven track record of achieving/exceeding financial goals through expense discipline and headcount management
- Demonstrated ability to execute under challenging circumstances and deliver targeted outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, coach and influence colleagues and virtual team members.
- Cross-cultural awareness and the ability to connect with colleagues globally in a collaborative, open work environment.
- Over 15 years' of experience running operations within financial services and deeper expertise on Financial Reporting.
- Enterprise leadership skills managing client service delivery and business growth.
- Experience interfacing at a senior level with clients, service providers and regulators.
- Strong team leadership, coaching, mentoring, communication and presentation skills
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and ethical decision-making skills
- Focus on talent management, optimizing technology and managing operational risk
- Energy, enthusiasm and an obsession with service quality and delivery to our clients
- An ability to think strategically, managing complexity, change and multiple priorities
- A successful association in major operational model or platform improvements
- A relevant graduate degree or masters qualification that can be leveraged in this role
- Willingness for regular business travel
