- Network Infrastructure Management:
- Design, deploy, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), wireless networks and Cisco telephonic.
- Configure and maintain network devices such as Cisco routers, Cisco switches/Nexus, Cisco Wireless controller, Cisco access points, and Cisco ISE, Cisco CUCM, Telephone Gateway.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Optimize network performance by implementing network upgrades and improvements.
- Configuration & manage DHCP/DNS.
- Network Security:
- Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures.
- Configure and manage firewall rules, access controls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Respond to security incidents and implement remediation actions.
- Network Administration:
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and unauthorized access.
- Maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory.
- Perform routine backups and ensure data integrity and availability.
- Network Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyse network traffic patterns and bandwidth utilization.
- Implement network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Optimize network configurations for better performance and efficiency.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with other systems and applications.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and IT staff.
- Participate in project planning and implementation, ensuring network requirements are met.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in network administration.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in network administration roles, including network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, routing like BGP/i-BGP/Static and other dynamic protocols, switching, and sub-netting.
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ready to work 24/7 to support business for priority issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
