- Identify and monitor relevant tenders in the electricity industry, specifically those related to government and public sector contracts.
- Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality tenders and proposals.
- Liaise with internal departments (technical, finance, legal, etc.) to gather information and prepare tender documents.
- Track and follow up on tender results, and ensure the company's interests are represented throughout the process.
- Analyze competitors' submissions and improve tendering strategies to enhance the chances of winning bids.
- Generate leads and acquire new business opportunities within the electricity sector, with a focus on government and public-sector clients.
- Identify key decision-makers and influencers within government agencies, boards, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to target government contracts and tenders.
- Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with current and potential clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the division’s services to government and public sector clients.
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials, presentations, and proposals tailored to the government sector.
- Organize and participate in industry events, exhibitions, and conferences to build the company’s brand and reputation in the electricity industry.
- Monitor industry trends and provide insights to help guide the company’s strategic positioning.
- Maintain up-to-date records of tender submissions, sales pipelines, and business development activities.
- Prepare regular reports on sales progress, tender outcomes, and market trends for senior management.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market research to enhance the company’s positioning in the market.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, and business development in the energy or utilities sector, with a focus on government licensing and tendering.
- Deep understanding of the electricity sector and government regulations in the energy market.
- Experience with tender submissions and understanding of public sector procurement processes.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills, particularly with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with electricity board regulations and industry standards.
- Experience in preparing technical and financial tender documentation.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tools and strategies.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Previous experience with CRM software and other sales management tools.
