The position combines people leadership, process ownership, month-end close accountability, and strong internal control oversight, while driving standardization, continuous improvement, and audit readiness across treasury accounting processesHow the Candidate Will Make an Impact:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team
- Allocate work, set priorities, and monitor workload to ensure timely deliverables
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses prepared by the team
- Conduct regular performance feedback, goal setting, and capability development
- Act as first point of escalation for operational, system, or accounting issues
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members
- Oversee accounting for cash, bank accounts, investments, and treasury-related transactions
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
- Review and approve:Bank and treasury account reconciliations
- Investment accounting and valuations
- Accruals, reclassifications, and treasury-related journal entries
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and statutory requirements
- Own submission of monthly reporting packages (M’s & Q’s) to Corporate
- Review balance sheet and P&L analytics, including variance analysis and issue resolution
- Own treasury-related SOX / internal control objectives under Section 404
- Ensure timely completion and review of control activities and evidence
- Act as key contact for internal and external audits (PwC / Corporate Audit)
- Review audit queries, coordinate responses, and ensure timely closure of findings
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and documentation standards
- Drive standardization and harmonization of treasury accounting processes across regions
- Identify automation, efficiency, and control improvement opportunities
- Partner with IT and ERP teams on treasury system enhancements (SAP, bank interfaces)
- Support transition of additional scope into India FSSC, including documentation and stabilization
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, ACCA, Cost Accountant, or equivalent
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6–9 years of progressive accounting experience
- 2–3 years of people management or team lead experience preferred
- Strong background in Treasury Accounting or RTR in a multinational environment
- Hands-on experience with SAP (or large ERP systems); Hyperion exposure preferred
- Experience working in a Shared Services or Global Finance model is an advantage
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Deep understanding of treasury accounting, cash management, and investments
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls (SOX)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and review skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multinational SSC environment
- Fluent in written and spoken English
