- Work in an international and interdisciplinary environment from development through industrialization to product and process release
- Apply preventive supplier management methods (e.g., risk classification, VDA-RGA) during product development
- Utilize quality management methods in supplier engagement, including process audits as per VDA 6.3
- Engage from initial concept phase through sampling, release, and series support till model phase-out
- Evaluate potential suppliers based on quality and production capabilities
- Support setup, commissioning, and approval of supplier production lines
- Monitor and ensure adherence to Mercedes-Benz quality requirements at supplier locations
- Lead product sampling decisions to confirm supplier readiness and product quality
- Ensure implementation of Mercedes-Benz quality standards across all supplier production facilities
- In-depth knowledge of quality and business systems
- Strong grasp of APQP, PPAP, FMEA methodologies
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 standards
- Knowledge of metrology, measurement techniques, inspection methods and tools
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Conflict resolution and supplier relationship management capabilities
- German language proficiency is a plus
- Commodities handled: Body in White, Interior & Exterior, Chassis & Powertrain, Electrical & Electronics
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering
- Qualification as a VDA 6.3 process auditor
- Exposure to international supplier collaboration and quality assurance practices
- Experience handling cross-functional and cross-plant automotive projects
