We're looking for a hands-on technologist with 3+ years of experience in application delivery or IT operations, eager to apply development skills to enhance system resilience and efficiency. You will be engaged in support activities with our Databricks enterprise platform, assisting users and troubleshooting Production issues with ETL pipelines.As part of our mission to modernize IT operations, you'll contribute to automation efforts, reduce toil, and help build tools that provide early detection of issues across critical data pipelines. You will have the opportunity to explore and contribute to AI-driven project initiatives proactively improving the operational effectiveness and service reliability of our IT assets.If you are passionate about continuous improvement, enjoy solving complex problems, and want to be a member of a forward-thinking team, consider being a part of Cigna's future by joining our team.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain automation scripts to enhance operational strategyManage performance monitoring across our assets to ensure proper measuring, reporting, and alerting on anomalies and incidentsCollaborate with engineering and application delivery teams in developing and testing automation of repetitive, manual effortsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the SRE practiceContribute to team projects improving our operational strategy through AI integrationTrack and document repeated incidents to eliminate recurring problemsSupport of our Databricks user base and critical ETL pipelinesQualificationsRequired Skills:Strong skills in troubleshooting and documentation of operational proceduresStrong problem-solving skillsExperience with Agile methodologyA desire to learn and grow your experienceGood communications skillsRequired Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience11-13 years of experience as a Developer and exposed to Distributed Systems and Operational roles.7+ years SQL experience.Experience in ETL technologies (Informatica/DataStage) and Oracle is a big plusExperience with Data warehousing conceptsExperience with scripting and automation using PythonExperience with Shell scriptingFamiliarity with SQL, Spark, Pyspark and working with Cloud Based data platforms like Databricks.Hands on experiences in some AWS technologies like – Cloud Watch, Step Functions, Lambda, Glue, EC2, DynamoDB, SQS, ECS/EKS, Elastic Search, Elastic Cache, Airflow to name a few
Understanding of version control systems and experience using Gitlab/GithubUnderstanding of Development Operations and Software Development LifecycleUnderstanding of ticketing systems like ServiceNowExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailsLocation & Hours of WorkFull-time position, working 40 hours per week.
