Job Description :Job Title: Head of Finance and AccountingLocation: GuwahatiIndustry: Real Estate, Heavy Equipment Manufacturing, ConstructionEmployment Type: Full-time (On-site)Summary:The Head of Finance and Accounting is responsible for leading and managing all financial operations across the housing and mall divisions.This strategic role ensures accurate financial reporting, robust budgeting, and compliance with regulatory standards while driving data-driven financial decision-making. The incumbent will oversee financial planning, performance analysis, and team leadership to enhance the organization’s financial health and operational efficiency. With a strong focus on accountability, transparency, and long-term financial sustainability, this position plays a critical role in supporting business growth and strategic initiatives within a dynamic, multi-sector environment.Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements across all business units.

Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize profitability, cash flow, and cost management.

Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with accuracy and timeliness.

Guide and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Collaborate closely with operations, procurement, and project management teams to align financial planning with business goals.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.

Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.

Ensure the effective use of financial systems and tools to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably within real estate, heavy equipment manufacturing, or construction industries.

Proven expertise in financial statements, financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning.

Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and deliver strategic recommendations.

Strong leadership experience managing finance teams and cross-functional collaboration.

In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance, audit processes, and statutory reporting requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree or CA certification is preferred.

Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally) and advanced Excel skills.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

Willingness to work on-site in Guwahati.

Relevant Experience: 15+ years in end-to-end financial operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning within the real estate, heavy equipment manufacturing, or construction sector.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; Master’s degree or CA certification preferred.

Location: Guwahati

Salary: Up to 25 LPA
