Sounds like you?Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking a responsible, professional, and self-motivated individual to join the Gas Turbine R&D, Gurgaon as a 'GT Test Instrumentation - Mechanical Design and Product Definer'. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, global product development environment.oriented:The Test instrumentation design engineer is responsible for the design and product definition of test instrumentation for gas turbine components using NX & Teamcenter. The engineer should be able to understand the functional, assembly and manufacturing requirements and develop innovative & appropriate solutions to meet the design requirements.The job involves creating 3D models, detailing, EBOM and checking drawings. A strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, gas turbine testing probes, and manufacturing processes is essential.The role requires collaboration within the team and with cross-functional teams. The position also requires regular interaction with global teams in the USA, Germany, and Sweden. Therefore, the engineer should possess strong communication skills and cross-cultural knowledge.
  • Understand the product structure, design requirements and design principles.
  • Design and detailing of Gas turbine test instrumentation concepts.
  • Create new product designs and product assemblies and solve design-related problems.
  • Work with the project lead to understand the requirements, provide engineering data, timelines and deliver related design activities within the agreed timeline.
We don't need superheroes, just super minds:
  • B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience in Turbomachinery Design engineering, Test instrumentation design, and Product definition of test instrumentation design.
  • Experience in utilizing mechanical engineering skills to analyze technical requirements and applying the appropriate skill set to design and detail complex components and assemblies using NX (Unigraphics) or other similar solid modeling CAD software.
  • Ability to perform engineering calculations and apply GD&T per ASME Y-14.5M
  • Strong Mechanical-design fundamentals & problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of limits and fits, and a proficient understanding of fasteners.
  • Experience in Gas Turbine Component and System Design or any turbomachinery design experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and individuals from different cultural backgrounds.
  • Flexibility to work across different time zones.
