This role will be responsible for building and advancing Marriotts platform in alignment with our core business objectives and enterprise architecture principles.Fosters innovation and manages the application development team with a focus on promoting customer satisfaction. Collaborates with other technology leaders, business partners and promotes agile application development practices and processes across the enterprise. Application Development Governance:
  • Standardizes SDLC tools and processes (Agile & Waterfall) for consistent delivery.
  • Oversees estimation, deployment, and compliance with development standards.
  • Communicates key policy changes and promotes IT-wide process alignment.
Project & Relationship Management:
  • Leads application development projects with IT, business partners, and vendors.
  • Drives service delivery excellence, resolves escalations, and ensures SLAs.
  • Conducts project reviews, manages reporting, and monitors business case alignment.
Vendor & Service Provider Oversight:
  • Validates vendor compliance with MSAs and evolving requirements.
  • Defines, enforces, and improves provider contracts and service performance.
IT Strategy & Governance Support:
  • Contributes to IT strategic planning, governance, and budgeting processes.
  • Promotes effective estimation, planning, and financial accountability.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Implements CMMI or similar frameworks for measurable service improvements.
  • Analyzes feedback and drives initiatives to enhance stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Tech Stack: Java 19+, Spring Boot, WebFlux, Kafka, GraphQL, GraalVM, Docker, Kubernetes, DAPR, AWS (EKS, Fargate, Serverless), WebAssembly.
  • DevOps: GitOps, CI/CD, Istio, Open Telemetry, monitoring, tracing, OPA.
  • Tools & Platforms: Akana, MuleSoft, Apigee, API Gateway, Micrometer.
  • Languages: Java, Python, Node.js.
  • Led cloud-native application development using Spring Boot, Play, Akka.
  • Hands-on experience with API platforms, backend services, databases, networking, and containerized infrastructure.
  • Delivered large-scale integration solutions in hybrid onshore-offshore Agile environments.
Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications in cloud architecture, Agile methodologies, and application platforms preferred.
