As part of our EY-Cyber security, Risk Consulting team, your role will be to actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. You'll also identify potential business opportunities for EY and GDS within existing engagements and escalate these as appropriate. Similarly, you'll anticipate and identify risks within engagements and share any issues with senior members of the team.The opportunityWe're looking for Security Consultant / Senior Security Consultant in the Risk Consulting team to work on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and various data protection/ data privacy related projects for our customers across the globe.
The Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Senior Engineer drives IT security and productivity pillars by enabling secure connectivity for technical assets and devices within EY's global infrastructure through the creation and management of digital certificates.
The role drives complex design, development, and implementation activities aligned to several technologies including, but not limited to, Microsoft's Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) infrastructure, Hardware Security Modules (HSM), Key Factor Command, Key Management system (KMS), Venafi Trust Protection Platform, DigiCert/ 3rd party certificate management system, Digital life cycle management, Intune Certificate Connector and JAMF ADCS.Your key responsibilities
- Experience in PKI Governance activities such as writing policies and standards, creating new processes for Certificate Lifecycle Management
- Experience in building metrics for PKI program
- Implementation and maintenance of PKI policies, practices, and procedures
- Managing and troubleshooting of PKI components such as Root CA, Intermediate CAs, issuing CAs, Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
- Conduct regular PKI service health check-ups, assess functionality, and rectify any faults to ensure uninterrupted services.
- Participate in the design and development of new PKI-related functionality and enhancements.
- Collaborate with system/network/application/security teams to understand requirements, provide expertise on PKI cryptographic solutions, and resolve PKI-related issues.
- Develop and manage secure procedures for issuance, revocation, and expiry of digital certificates.
- Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements related to PKI and encryption.
- Prepare reports to track the effectiveness of PKI and sharing them with senior management.
- Continual learning in the field of PKI and cryptography to ensure the application of the latest and best security practices.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices regarding PKI, cryptography, and secure communications.
- Working knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, cryptographic primitives, protocols, and key management.
- Experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
- Help senior team members in performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff/junior level team members
- Manage the performance management for the direct reportees, as per the organization policies
- Foster teamwork and lead by example
- Training and mentoring of project resources
- Participating in the organization-wide people initiatives
- Excellent leadership skills
- 3-5 Years of relevant experience.
- Graduates / BE - B. Tech / MCA / M. Sc. (Stats, Maths, Computer Science) / MBA with background in computer science/data protection.
- Strong knowledge of PKI services, digital certificates, and encryption technologies.
- Strong understanding of IT security principles, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey technical topics in an accessible way to non-technical staff.
- Certification such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or Certified Encryption Specialist (CES) preferred.
