Position Details: Role: Area Sales Executive - General Trade Division: Consumer Care Locations: south Mumbai Department: Sales (General Trade) Reporting To: Area Sales Manager / Regional Sales Manager Job Type: Full-time Industry: FMCG - Personal & Healthcare ProductsRole Purpose:To drive sales growth through efficient distributor and retailer management in the General Trade channel. Ensure achievement of primary and secondary sales targets, and market development through new outlet acquisition and trade execution.The candidate needs to have good experience in GT as the territory has a business of 70 to 80 Lakhs and he needs to have experience in rural and wholesale markets. He will be required to handle a team of 7 MRs under him.Key Responsibilities:- Achieve monthly primary and secondary sales targets in assigned territory- Manage and develop the distributor and retailer network- Ensure product availability, visibility, and placement in general trade outlets- Drive new outlet expansion and beat plan execution- Plan and execute territory-wise promotional and marketing activities- Ensure timely order bookings, stock rotation, and minimal damages/returns- Monitor competitor activities and market intelligence- Submit regular sales MIS and performance reports- Coordinate with Trade Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams for executionKey Skills & Characteristics:- Strong knowledge of General Trade sales operations- Excellent relationship management with distributors and retailers- Effective communication, negotiation, and territory management skills- Self-driven, target-oriented, and hands-on in field executionQualification & Experience: Experience: 2-4 years of FMCG sales experience in General Trade (ref:updazz.com)
