Job Category: Development and TestingJob Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test to join our Quality Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible in developing scalable test automation frameworks, ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our software solutions. This role involves close collaboration with development, DevOps, and QA teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, implement shift-left testing practices, and drive continuous quality improvements across the SDLC.The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, strong communication skills, deep knowledge of modern automation tools and frameworks. Ensure test coverage by designing and developing test scripts throughout the SDLC, for new feature development, smoke and regression testing of new builds.
Develop and maintain test scripts using Selenium/Python, Playwright or other QA Automation tools for Web, Mobile and Desktop applications.
Develop and maintain API tests using Postman or REST.
Active member of the Scrum team to ensure quality is built into products and services.
Participates in sprint planning and collaborates with Product Management team to identify requirements.
Develops testing strategies with comprehensive test plans to verify product functionality.
Develops test cases based on software requirements, technical specifications and prioritizes testing tasks.
Operates with substantial latitude for action and reviews progress with management as needed.
Working closely with developers and other stakeholders to guarantee accurate implementation of quality assurance processes.
Work efficiently, safely, and follow all NOV Safety Policies and Procedures.
Maintain all company information as confidential.
Performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related field.
Need 2-3 years of professional work experience in software test automation or development.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, C#, Type Script or Java Script)
Proven experience in designing and implementing test automation using tools like Selenium, Playwright or Test Complete.
Experience with API testing and database testing utilizing tools such as Postman, SQL server or PostgreSQL.
Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure Devops)
Have a good understanding of framework POM, TestNG, or any other framework.
Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Test Automation or AI or AWS cloud certifications preferred.
Experience in the oil and gas industry or with similar enterprise-level applications is a plus.
