General Information The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries. As a Engineering Specialist team role is to provide crucial insights into the technical viability of customer solutions based on standardized HE architectures integrated with the third-party devices. The specialists will also play a key role in supporting the Sales process for Batteries and Power Conversion topics. Responsibilities Attending to the instructions provided by the Project Manager, assume the technical responsibility of the Project, which includes, among other issues, manage orders, follow and supervise the manufacture of the Products, Factory Acceptance Test ('FAT'), as well as its commissioning. Fulfill with the deadlines set out by the Project Manager related to the milestones of the Project according the supply agreement. Ensure compliance with the Quality Control of the Project ('QCP')). Generate technical documentation associated to the Products contractually agreed with the Client: ventilation electrical calculations, structural, thermal and drawings, inter alia. At the request of the System Integrator Engineer, after adapting the technical solution to the Client's needs, adapt the necessary modifications to the reference Products used, as well as generate the associated documentation of such modification. During the manufacturing of the Products, implement and supervise the QCP on the Products. After the tests on the Products have been performed, validate its performance, or, on the contrary, propose and implement the necessary changes in the same to achieve conformity to the standards established for the referred tests. Elaborate the reference planning of the start-up, as well as ensure its technical follow-up during its implementation in the Project. Additionally, and when the business situation required it, to assume the functions of Sales Services Manager. Background Degree in industrial engineering, electronic engineering, electrical engineering or similar. Previous experience of at least two (2) years in a similar position in the same sector is required. Experience in project engineering, power electronics, and medium voltage equipment. English and Spanish proficiency. Teamwork and cooperation skills, ability to be results oriented, initiative, innovation, correct reaction to mistakes/failures, languages, leadership, and active listening.
