As a Wood Sanding specialist, you will be responsible for preparing wooden surfaces for finishing by using various sanding tools and techniques. You will work closely with our carpenters and finishers to ensure the highest quality standards are met. Qualifications And Skills Proven experience in wood sanding with 4 to 6 years of mid-level experience Knowledge of different types of wood and their characteristics Proficiency in using sanding machines, hand sanders, and other related tools Ability to interpret blueprints and project specifications Attention to detail and ability to achieve a smooth and flawless finish on wood surfaces Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and collaboration skills Roles And Responsibilities Inspect wood surfaces to determine the appropriate sanding methods and tools required Use sanding machines, hand sanders, and other tools to smooth and prepare wood surfaces Remove old finishes, stains, or imperfections from wood surfaces Ensure the wood surfaces are properly prepared for paint, stain, or varnish application Maintain and clean sanding equipment and tools Collaborate with carpenters and finishers to meet project requirements Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures while performing sanding tasks
