It is a simple, scalable and secure platform, that gives an operator full control over the information flow in an easy and intuitive way for faster and efficient decision making.Expert Software Engineer - Media Platform @ Barco CTRLWe are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our dynamic product development team who can be part of the Media Platform team in Barco CTRL product group. Barco CTRL's media platform is a high-performance software toolkit that enables efficient audio and video decoding and rendering within graphical applications across different product lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing embedded software applications using C, C++, Python and has experience in GStreamer, WebRTC and RDP. You will work closely with our global feature teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions.About the RoleAs Expert Software Engineer - Media Platform you will:

Lead and contribute to the strategic design and development of highly complex and innovative engineering projects.
Collaborate with cross functional teams including Developers, Product Owners, System Architects, System validation across different locations to design and implement quality product increments.
Create and sustain robust backend logic for reliable and scalable systems. With keeping speed, reliability, and data in mind.
Write reusable, efficient code with automated tests to maintain our high-quality standard.
Analyze the needs of internal customers to determine system requirements
Design embedded software algorithms for commercial applications
Define and execute testing and maintenance procedures for software and its hardware platforms
Gain a deep understanding of the Barco control room product, becoming proficient in all its features.
Work with cross-functional teams across multiple groups, geography, and time zones.
Mentor and guide junior, mid-level, and senior engineers, providing technical expertise and support.

Qualifications and ExperienceWe are seeking experience with the following technologies/domains:Education:

B. Tech./B. E./M. E./M. Tech. in Computer Science/Electronics/Multimedia Engineering

Experience:

8-12 years of enriched embedded development experience with good proficiency in C/C++ and Python in Linux OS environment
Exceptional understanding of engineering principles and practices.
Knowledge in the multimedia framework/stack: Gstreamer, Codecs, WebRTC and RDP.
Integration knowledge through Git and Jenkins
Virtualization knowledge through Docker and Vmware
Expert in Test driven development (TDD), good experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices.
Knowledge of Rust is a plus
Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and quality
Eagerness to learn, grow, and stay updated with industry trends.
Ability to provide insightful design and code reviews.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders
As a collaborative team player, you are comfortable working closely with developers and product owners, product managers, sharing ideas and knowledge.
