Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
  • Proficient in layout design using AutoCAD for facility and line station optimization, including sub-assembly stations.
  • Material movement planning with trolley designs and approvals, alongside commissioning assembly line equipment such as sub-assembly stations, pressing machines, conveyors, testing tools, tightening tools, sealant applicators, and riveting machines.
  • Implementation of filtration systems, low-cost automation, POKAYOKES, material handling trolleys, and cleaning machines.
  • Providing design inputs to engineering teams for manufacturability ease and maximizing facility utilization.
  • Process improvement with model-specific engines for test beds and final assembly lines in automobiles and farm machinery.
  • Knowledge of key assembly processes, including tightening, floats, sealant application, alignment, bearing pressing, and testing tools, along with conceptualizing special requirements.
  • Skilled in line balancing, work content measurement, takt time analysis, NVA identification, VSM, productivity improvement, and manpower estimation.
  • Preparing and delivering training for manufacturing/QA teams on new model assembly processes.
  • Establishing and monitoring processes during Gen-1/Gen-2/Seeding/Pilot runs.
  • Conducting audits during SOVP and supporting APPAP closures.
  • Planning and executing hot testing setups, specifically for engine manufacturing lines, with advanced knowledge in CRDI technology and testing practices.
  • Preparation of RFQs, scope documents, technical finalization, budgeting, supplier comparisons, requisition documents, trial coordination, and commissioning.
  • Creating gateway documents, process sheets, PFA, SOP, PFMEA, and digitizing assembly processes.
  • Hands-on experience with assembly tools such as DC nut runners, preload measurement tools, and oil seal/bearing pressing equipment.
  • Developing Process FMEA, PFD, control plans, and SOPs for new models.
  • Managing engine testing readiness projects, including proving out test beds, conducting correlation trials, and transferring to users.
  • Supporting production teams during ramp-up phases

Experience in DCP preparation, PFMEA updation & review mechanism ,RPN reduction
Knowledge of Advanced technologiesBOM handling, Hands on experience in SAP, Team center handling
