Roles and Responsibilities
- Independent execution with direction from experts on analysis and design of clearances for nextgen sustainable engine programs to develop technologies meeting ambitious performance & environmental goals.
- Understand key business drivers, contribute towards developing program plan and deliver impactful business outcomes. Integrate work of self/team with other teams and contribute to broader business objectives.
- Contribute to solving tough technical challenges, as an integral part of a collaborative global team.
- Propose innovative solutions and proactively protect competitive advantage by filing IP.
- Present in global reviews with peers/experts, Chief Engineers Office and Systems organization.
- Ensure proper documentation of technical data consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Good interpersonal skills, flexibility to work on a wide variety of problems/programs of interest to Aerospace.
- Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives.
- Continuous learning and constant drive for continuous improvement of tools/processes.
- Contribute to/promote a culture of inclusion & diversity
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis of aircraft engine models
- Postgraduate in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace engineering with excellent academic background
- In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Proficiency in application of HYPERMESH, Unigraphics, ANSYS software
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines and commitments
- Exposure to FAA regulations and aerospace industry
- Exposure to LEAN, Design For Six Sigma tools and techniques
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Aircraft engines/Gas turbine product knowledge
