
Senior Modem System Test Engineer

- Lead modem system-level validation for various features, own test strategy, planning, and execution across TE (Test equipment), OTA, and carrier drop testing.
- Collaborate with platform architecture, standards, firmware/protocol, system test, and carrier teams to influence design and performance.
- Design and deploy ML-driven workflows for real-time anomaly detection, predictive failure analysis, automated test selection/prioritization, and test case generation.
- Define and develop advanced test-automation frameworks, create test scripts, and execute end-to-end test flows to validate the impact of features across all protocol layers (PHY, RF, NAS, AS).
- Provide system-level insights and validation feedback to guide modem feature design, optimization, and cross-functional alignment with deep system expertise.
- 5+ years in wireless modem validation, system integration/interoperability testing, or cellular certification.
- Solid understanding and experience with the 5G NR radio interface, PHY and MAC layer features/functions, as well as RRC layer control and user plane functions.
- Experience defining, developing, and validating cellular modem system test cases for mobile devices using popular test development platforms (Anritsu, R&S, Anite, Keysight).
- Advanced scripting/automation skills (Python, JavaScript) with scalable framework design.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of the end-to-end wireless system architecture, from the physical layer through to the application layer.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Good understanding of mmWave challenges and 5G standalone protocol.
- Proven experience deploying ML workflows in modem test pipelines.
- Experience in MSIM, MIMO/beamforming, SA/NSA low-coverage mobility, and FR2 is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail on aspects that are significant to customers.
- Consistent track record of independently leading a complete area of technology and driving product quality while working with cross-functional teams.
