Experience Level: 6–10 YearsJob Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controls Application Engineer to lead the pre-engineering and design and estimation of automation solutions in warehouse and intralogistics environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC/HMI programming, material handling equipment, and conveyor systems, with a deep understanding of warehouse control systems (WCS) and integration with higher-level systems (WMS, ERP).Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the pre-engineering and design and estimation of automation solutions for automated warehouse solutions, including conveyors, AS/RS, sorters, and robotics.
- Knowledge on Programming of PLCs and HMIs (primarily Siemens TIA Portal or Rockwell Studio 5000) for custom material handling systems.
- Knowledge on design electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
- Coordinate field I/O, motor controls, VFDs, and safety circuits in compliance with global standards (UL508A, IEC).
- Work closely with mechanical application and software teams to ensure seamless understanding on the projects and alignment with customer requirements.
- Knowledge on complete project implementation processes and execution processes.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including Functional Design Specifications, Network Architectures and Process Flows.
- Serve as a technical mentor for junior engineers and support project managers during the proposal and execution phases.
- Having good capability in building relationship with vendors and develop new vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related degree) with 4 – 6 years of relevant practical business experience.
- Strong electrical/controls design aptitude and basic knowledge of mechanical.
- Excellent technical problem-solving capability (hardware, controls)
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
