other events. Responsibilities:Typical Day in the LifeA typical day as a Business Valuation Senior Associate might include:
- Performing all phases of a valuation engagement including financial analysis and research.
- Working with clients to understand risks and opportunities in their business.
- Participating in webinars on technical and personal development learning opportunities.
- Researching economic and industry conditions for various clients.
- Researching public company data and or royalty agreement data.
- Working with the team to brainstorm and solve problems.
- Assisting audit and tax teams in valuation and special projects.
- You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, CA/ CPA or a related field.
- You have 2-4 years of experience in accounting, tax preparation or business valuation.
- You have either an ABV, CFA, CVA, CEIV, or ASA certification, or are working towards obtaining a relevant certification (preferred).
- You have well-rounded knowledge of accounting and taxation principles and business valuation methodologies.
- You have experience with business valuation and intangible asset valuation for financial reporting purposes (ASC 805 or IFRS 3) [preferred].
- You have experience with components of purchase price including contingent consideration for financial reporting purposes (ASC 805 or IFRS 3) [preferred].
- You can communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- You can work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
- You can establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
- You are proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and using various software packages.
