1. Conduct personalized career counseling sessions with students to understand their goals, aspirations, skills, and interests.
2. Administer and interpret career assessment tools, such as aptitude tests, personality assessments, and interest inventories, to evaluate students' aptitudes and preferences.
3. Assist students in exploring and identifying various career options available based on their interests, abilities, and market trends.
4. Provide guidance regarding suitable courses and programs offered by the University, aligning with students' career goals.
5. Collaborate with academic advisers and faculty members to ensure students' academic plans align with their career objectives.
6. Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of information on career opportunities, job market trends, scholarships, internships, and other relevant resources.
7. Stay updated with industry requirements and employment trends to counsel students on emerging career fields and the skills necessary to succeed in them.
8. Assist in organizing and conducting career-related workshops, seminars, and webinars to educate students about job search strategies, resume building, interview skills, and networking techniques.
9. Facilitate job shadowing, internships, and placement opportunities by coordinating with potential recruiters and companies.
10. Liaise with alumni and industry professionals to develop and nurture a robust professional network for students.
11. Maintain accurate and updated records of all counseling interactions and produce reports on students' progress and career outcomes.
12. Collaborate with the University's marketing team to promote career services and initiatives through various mediums, including social media platforms.Requirements:
1. Bachelor's or master's degree in career counseling, psychology, education, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in career counseling, preferably within an educational institution.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with students, parents, faculty, and industry professionals.
4. Strong knowledge of career assessment tools, industry trends, and job market demands.
5. Familiarity with educational programs, courses, and pathways aligned with different career domains.
6. Proven ability to provide guidance and mentorship to individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying career goals.
7. Proficiency in using career counseling software, databases, and technology platforms for assessments and record keeping.
8. Strong organizational and administrative skills to manage multiple counseling sessions and maintain accurate records.
9. Dynamic and adaptable approach to respond to changing student needs and industry requirements.
10.
