- Lead the electrical services design on projects, ensuring alignment with corporate, technical and client standards.
- Capability of leading electrical design for small to medium sized projects.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers within the department.
- Collaborate with other design team members, such as architects, structural engineers, specialist consultants, clients, and project managers.
- Develop design philosophies and contribute to all project stages from feasibility to detailed design.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and multi-disciplinary coordination of design documentation, following QA/QC processes.
- Contribute to external project related meetings, demonstrating both project knowledge and technical excellence through design presentations and technical design notes. You will be responsible for presenting your work to clients and design team members where necessary.
- Have a good knowledge of buildability & construction techniques.
- Understand the financial and commercial aspects of project management.
- Exhibit critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, and teamwork.
- Provide technical support for prequalification documents, RFPs, and client inquiries.
- Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ensure that Health & Safety, quality, and training policies are embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.
- B.E./M.E. in Electrical Engineering with 10-12 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years on UK projects, preferably with demonstrated experience on high-rise building projects.
- Proven expertise in both manual and computer-aided electrical calculations, problem-solving, and technical analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of BIM/digitalization techniques and standards.
- Proficiency in software tools such as Trimble (Amtech), Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD, REVIT, and Navisworks.
- Excellent knowledge of local and international design standards such as BS-EN, CIBSE, ASHRAE and NFPA.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, covering HV/LV power distribution, lightning protection, general & emergency lighting, ELV systems (ICT, fire, security), and fire life safety (FLS) design.
- Experience with sustainable design practices and emerging technologies.
- Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD) and participation in CPD events to enhance expertise.
- Personal qualities such as being a self-motivated and a team player.
