JOB TITLE
Dy. Manager – ENVIRONMENT
SITUATION IN ORGANIZATION

Assisting the Site Head in managing and improving the Environment Standards in the Plant.
Reporting Team – ETP/RO/MEE staff.
- Ensure effective establishment, implementation, maintenance and improvement of Environment Systems to
- Develop an Environment Friendly culture within the IGPL Organisation and its key stakeholders.
- Effective operation and maintenance of ETP, HRSCC, RO, MEE & ATFD. Effluent management with co-
- Co-ordinate to conduct /impart Environment elated training program (like Effluent Management, Effective O & M
management teams.
- Required to come in shifts to sustain above operations.
- Plan, schedule and manage the Internal Audit process for Environment at site.
- Organise and record the Management Review Meeting to report the updates on Environment Systems as basis
- Prepare Environment budgets and procurement of related items.
- To raise MOC’s for modifications & new requirements w.r.t. Environment.
- Co-ordinate with internal departments and submission of Environment.
- Contribute to compliance to legislative / regulative requirements at IGPL Taloja site.
- Effective Consent Management Plan with Annual Schedule w.r.t. Air, Water, Soil, Noise & Hazardous Waste.
- To follow & implement all conditions w.r.t. Consent to Establishment & Operate for IGPL, Taloja Site.
- To implement Environment Clearance conditions and to submit six monthly compliance reports to concern
- To ensure effective hazardous waste management w.r.t. generation, identification, minimization, reuse,
Prepare schedule of hazardous waste disposal.
- To observe and consult trends of water consumption & effluent generation time to time.
- Regular monitoring of Air, Water, Stack, Noise and other emissions by MoEF & CC recognized laboratory.
- Online compliance of all MPCB requirements related to statutory documentation & reporting.
- Compliance to Online Continuous Environment Management System & up keeping of online monitoring
- To follow & do compliance of CETP guidelines & notices.
- Effectives measures for effluent reduction & quality management.
- Effective management of contractors for Environment related subjects & interface on site.
- Effective Project Management, infrastructure & designs w.r.t. Environment.
- New ideas for reduction in effluent & hazardous waste quantities.
- To celebrate World Environment Day & Environment related programs.
- To suggest advanced Environment systems applicable to IGPL site, Taloja.
- A modern and automated petrochemicals plant which is at maximum occupied condition of available floor
- Combination of semi, skilled and exceptionally skilled workforce. Amount of contract labor (close to 30% of
- Good amount of employee strength at field operations level whose reach to Environment culture building
- Improving Environment Standards at key Business /Industrial Partner like suppliers, contractors, visitors &
- Support from Engineering & Purchasing Organization of IGPL.
Performance of Environment Management Systems as
A) General awareness of employee on Environment subjects and initiatives from time to time
B) Environment Performance like ETP/RO/MEE Performance Trends, OCEMS Performance Trends &
Compliance, EC Compliance, Legislative Reporting, Environment Reporting, Hazardous Waste Management.
C) Upkeep of Management System Certification.
D) Actions taken on Environment Audits, and any other internal /external audit findings.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
o Degree / Diploma in Science/Engineering with in Environment / Pollution.
o 5 to 6 years of experience in manufacturing industry with sufficient exposure to Environment & related
Management Systems.
o Good knowledge on respective international management systems standards & Environment legislation /
regulations
o Certified/experienced internal auditor for Environment Management Systems
