- Manage and maintain the SPI database and instrument index.
- Configure plant hierarchy, user access, and project settings.
- Customize and manage reports, datasheets, and deliverables.
- Import PSR files and regenerate them as per project requirements.
- Ensure integration with other SmartPlant tools (e.g., SPF, SP3D).
- Set up and configure project databases and system settings.
- Define user roles and access permissions.
- Customize templates, symbols, and reports (e.g., cable schedules, panel layouts).
- Manage backups, data migration, and system performance.
- Troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth integration with SPI and other modules
- Diploma, Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.
- 08-15 years of experience in SPI administration in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or infrastructure sectors.
- Database Management: Proficiency in SQL Server and SmartPlant database structures.
- Electrical Engineering Knowledge: Understanding of loads, panels, cable routing, and power distribution.
- SmartPlant Suite Expertise: Familiarity with SPI, SP3D, SPF, and integration workflows.
- Report Customization: Experience with Crystal Reports, XML, or similar tools.
- System Administration: Backup strategies, user access control, and performance monitoring.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with SmartPlant Foundation and integration with other Hexagon tools.
- Exposure to EPC project workflows and document control systems.
- Knowledge of other design tools like AutoCAD, MicroStation, or AVEVA P&ID.
