- under general supervision to support, maintain, and configure servers, storage systems, and backup solutions globally.We are seeking a highly skilled FinOps Cloud Consultant to join our team and help optimize cloud financial operations. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between identifying financial cloud optimization opportunities, advising customers on how to implement the necessary changes, and performing originator-based allocations, ensuring cost efficiency, transparency, and accountability in cloud spending. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of AWS/Azure, and the ability to drive financial governance across multi-cloud environments.
- Financial Governance: Implement FinOps best practices to align cloud costs with business objectives and budgets.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Develop dashboards and reports for stakeholders, providing insights into cost trends, anomalies, and forecasts.
- Controlling: Work closely together with the Controlling community to allocate costs origin-based
- Optimization Initiatives: Identify opportunities for cost savings through rightsizing, reserved instances, and architectural improvements.
- Policy Development: Establish and enforce policies for cloud resource usage and financial accountability.
- Work closely with Local IT, Engineering, and finance teams to implement approved recommendations.
- Provide guidance on budgeting and forecasting for hybrid environments.
- 3-5 years of experience in enterprise-scale FinOps or DevOps roles, managing hybrid infrastructure environments (on-prem and cloud), with a strong emphasis on cost management tools and system lifecycle management.
- Proven experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, or cloud cost optimization.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their pricing models.
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, OpenTofu, or equivalent tools, with experience in modular design, state management, and cloud resource provisioning.
- Proficiency in cost management tools (e.g., CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer).
- Broad experience in cloud architecture and operations, including deploying and managing PaaS and IaaS solutions across multi-cloud and multi-vendor environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Business or Related equivalent work experience.
- AWS/Azure Certified DevOps Administrator, or equivalent work experience
- FinOps Foundation certifications is a plus.
