The Logistics Manager also has full accountability for internal metrics, safety and customer delivery measures are met within the stock holding facilities and for delivering an exceptional level of service to the client. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for delivering continuous improvement programmes including, system and process improvements, improving service and building team capabilities.The successful candidate must be a strong 'people' manager, with experience in warehousing, logistics and distribution, who can take full control of this aspect of the operation.The ability to motivate, lead and challenge existing process is key for this role to ensure we are continually improving and moving with market changes.The role will encompass aspects of warehousing and distribution, as well as project management. The ideal candidate will be highly driven, demonstrate a high level of pace, energy and ambition, with the skills and experience to lead the team and operations successfully.Key Responsibilities
  • Supervising Staff:
Managing and leading warehouse personnel, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Inventory Management:
Maintaining accurate records of inventory, implementing inventory control procedures, and optimizing storage space.
  • Receiving and Dispatching Goods:
Overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Safety and Compliance:
Ensuring a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations, maintaining equipment, and adhering to company policies.
  • Logistics Coordination:
Coordinating with logistics partners, transportation companies, and other departments to ensure smooth flow of goods.
  • Operational Efficiency:
Identifying areas for improvement in warehouse operations, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, and reducing costs.
  • Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of inventory, shipments, and other relevant data.Skill Requirements
  • Leadership and Management:
Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively, and resolve conflicts.
  • Inventory Control:
Knowledge of inventory management techniques, including cycle counting, and inventory tracking systems.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain:
Understanding of the principles of logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with staff, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to identify and resolve operational issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.
  • Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, ServiceNow and other relevant technologies.
  • Safety Awareness:
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, and the ability to maintain a safe working environment.Other Requirements
