AMD together we advance_ S MTS SOFTWARE SYSTEMS DESIGN ENGINEER THE ROLE: As part of the AMD Embedded Processor Group (EPG) team, you will be the Device Driver [Graphics, Ethernet and IO Drivers] and UseCase Validation Lead for ThinClient, Industrial, Networking and Storage segments This involves both being hands on and leading the Device Driver, UseCase Validation Lead for ThinClient, Industrial, Networking and Storage segments. A successful candidate will employ proven solid Device Driver technical knowledge, strong multi-functional communication, and well-honed organizational skills with logical thinking to ensure on-schedule, defect-free customer Driver solutions. A candidate must be self-motivated and possess the technical proficiency and interpersonal confidence to represent verification ideas technically clearly. A self-starter with the ability to execute complex test plans independently and collaborate with others to resolve problems found. You should feel comfortable working in a lab environment. THE PERSON: Seasoned Validation Lead Engineer with a strong background in Graphics, IO Driver, Ethernet Driver across Windows, Ubuntu and Yocto Excellent communicator, inter personal skills, team player and leader Self-driven, enjoys new challenges and quickly adapts to change in a rapid fast-moving environment Interested in improving processes and solutions by challenging the status quo KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead design, develop and Integration validation plan for the corresponding market segments Engage multi-disciplinary stakeholders for requirement gathering and issue resolving Stay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations, especially pertaining to Graphics and Driver Validation Design and develop new groundbreaking validation techniques Collaborate with program teams across components on delivery schedules Verification of usecases across bounding box Recommend and propose validation process improvements Participate In Defect prioritization, Scrub and Triage ProActive Collaboration with Program Management, Driver Development, Architecture, Customer facing, power-performance, IPValidation, Board Design and BIOS, FW Teams A powerful desire to learn new skills and understand new features as they are added Proven record of accomplishment of working within and across groups . Effective communication skills Responsible for exploring opportunities to improve product Work closely with other team members to understand design architecture and to propose solutions to improve and enhance product s KEY SKILLS: Expert level Yocto Ubuntu Linux Windows Validation Plan creation Deriving usecases and test cases from requirements Develop Validation Plans Review and scrutinize requirements Test cases Defect Lifecycle Increase validation effectiveness Optimize validation coverage where applicable Software Development life cycles Ethernet and IO Driver verification on linux Effective Communication and Collaboration skills Moderate Level Shell and python scripting Nice to Have White box validation experience ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with 15+Yrs of exp LOCATION: Bangalore, Hybrid model (3 or more days in office) #LI-SR4 Benefits offered are described: .
