The Role: Mechanical EngineerWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering solutions firm. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in integrating mechanical components and systems into our projects, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance. You will also be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical structures and components. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical engineering, expertise in integration processes, a passion for delivering innovative engineering solutions, and technical expertise to ensure the structural integrity, performance, and safety of the systems.Key responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical designers, electrical engineers, and project managers, to integrate mechanical components and systems into our projects.Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies and analyses to assess the compatibility and integration requirements of various mechanical systems.Design and develop mechanical integration plans, considering project goals, timelines, and budget constraints.Oversee the assembly, testing, and validation of integrated mechanical systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project specifications.Create and evaluate mechanical structures for the project, guaranteeing their structural integrity, operational effectiveness, and adherence to applicable regulations and standards. This involves taking into account various factors such as load capacity, stability, vibration management, and fatigue durability.Perform structural calculations, simulations, and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate designs and assess structural performance under different load conditions.Conduct detailed feasibility studies, risk evaluations, and failure mode analyses to identify potential design constraints, mitigate risks, and propose appropriate remedies.Review and interpret project specifications, requirements, and contract documents to ensure compliance and adherence to project objectives.Enhance the efficiency of mechanical structures by continuously refining the design, selecting appropriate materials, and utilizing advanced engineering methodologies. Generate comprehensive engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for structural elements and systems, ensuring accuracy and detail.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to mechanical integration, working closely with the team to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.Perform rigorous testing and performance evaluations of integrated systems, documenting results and recommending necessary adjustments or improvements.Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the integration process.Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and procure necessary mechanical components, ensuring quality and timely delivery.Provide technical support and guidance to the team during the integration phase, sharing knowledge and best practices.Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical integration techniques, tools, and technologies, and apply them to enhance our engineering solutions.RequirementsWhat experience & skills do I need for this role?Strong knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering principles, concepts, and practices.Proficiency in integrating mechanical components and systems into larger projects, considering compatibility, functionality, and performance.Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for design and integration purposes.Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality and performance.Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to mechanical integration, including root cause analysis and implementation of effective solutions.Ability to plan, organize, and manage integration projects, considering timelines, resources, and budget constraints.Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and suppliers/vendors.Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate and precise integration of mechanical components and systems.Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical integration, ensuring compliance and quality.Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and embrace innovation to enhance engineering solutions.What should I have graduated in?Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or equivalent.3+ years of proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer or in a similar role within an engineering solutions firm.
