  • Provide projects support for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Solaris distributed infrastructure, preferably worked in Storage Migration especially NAS, DC Exit, OS Migration, Unix estate wide remediation projects and BCM/Isolation tests, Power down activities.
  • Provide global production support for the Unix distributed infrastructure while on shift. Address incidents picked up by the monitoring systems alerting on global Unix infrastructure within a timely manner, Resolve problem tickets allocated to team on central management tools (e.g. SNOW), Implement requests for service as generated in manual and automated ticketing systems (e.g. SNOW, etc)
  • Regular verbal and written communication with business partners and other support teams to clarify details of incidents or service requests to maintain production stability and meet established SLA's.
  • Operational knowledge of key technologies, such as RHEL 6/7/8, Oracle Solaris 10/11, SAN/NAS storage, autofs, NFS, SVM/LVM/VxVM, VCS/Sun Cluster/RHCS, Commvault, Blade technology

The team is responsible to maintain quality, stability of the Unix/Linux environment and supporting business managers in planning IT project requirements.Your expertise
  • University degree with 5+ years' experience in supporting UNIX based distributed computing environment with a large number of systems (2000+), a solid understanding of a UNIX-based operating system, preferable Solaris 10/11 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8 , Knowledge of Veritas Cluster Volume Manager /concepts and operations , Knowledge of Veritas Cluster server.
  • Basic understanding of the Banking and Finance industries with previous job experience a plus. Exposure to enterprise environment ITIL based processes know-how , Issue Management and effective escalation management , Global User support exposure
  • Experience in Automation, TOIL reduction and Observability dashboards using tools like Amelia, Powerbi etc
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Cloud / Virtualization Technologies and cloud concepts, preferably in Azure.
  • Strong OS troubleshooting skills in a distributed computing environment
  • Solid knowledge in NFS, Networking, SAN/NAS technologies.
  • Basic configuration knowledge of Oracle SPARC, IBM blade, Lenovo, Dell and HP servers
  • Understanding and working knowledge of authentication and naming services, including NIS, LDAP with Kerberos, Centrify, CyberArk, Power Broker, DNS, NTP, etc
