SR.GM PRODUCTION (SPONGE IRON DIVISION 975TPD) - GUJRAAT

• Developing and implementing production plans and schedules aligned with raw material availability, quality, and resource optimization.

• Commissioning new DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) kilns, including refractory line heating and plant equipment.

• Ensuring smooth operations to maximize production and meet pre-set targets.

• Planning and scheduling monthly production based on raw material availability.

• Working with different raw materials to optimize production cost.

• Making decisions on charge mix and process parameters for optimal quality.

• Controlling the raw material handling system as per process requirements.

• Ensuring adherence to quality control standards and conducting regular quality tests on raw materials and finished goods.

• Identifying areas for improvement in the production process to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

• Leading and managing a team of managers, engineers, technicians, and operators.

• Ensuring all team members are trained, equipped, and supervised effectively.

• Fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

• Conducting daily visits across the plant to observe, validate, and rectify process deviations.

• Working closely with the maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.

• Planning and implementing preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.

• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safety-conscious work environment.

• Reviewing raw material quality tests and recommending changes to senior management.

• Working with the Operation Excellence team to ensure the health and efficiency of all equipment.

• Ensuring adherence to all regulatory and departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Working on different kinds of raw materials to achieve lower production costs.

• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of sponge iron production processes, including raw material handling, kiln operations, and quality control.

• Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a large team of diverse personnel.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex production and operational issues.

• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders.

• Safety Awareness: Commitment to promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

• Experience: Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in sponge iron production, with a strong track record of success.

• Educational Background: Typically a B.Tech/B.E. in Metallurgy or a related field.
