- Design and implement system architecture to support scalability, reliability, and high availability.
- Monitor system health, logs, and performance metrics to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and services.
- Ensure system performance, availability, and security in a 24x7 production environment.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and configuration changes as needed.
- Work closely with storage vendors to manage and monitor storage solutions.
- Collaborate with database administrators for basic DB-related troubleshooting and support.
- Automate routine tasks and improve system management through scripting.
- Maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Support disaster recovery and backup strategies, including regular testing and validation.
- Participate in On-Call rotation and respond to critical incidents as required.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, or processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Networking, and Application teams to support business needs.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external security standards and regulations.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and drive long-term fixes.
- Core Linux expertise (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
- Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
- Intermediate knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, LVM, etc.)
- Basic understanding of database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance tuning
