Department: Supply Chain & Distribution
Reports To: Head – Supply ChainKey ResponsibilitiesDistribution & Supply Chain PlanningDevelop and execute distribution planning strategies to ensure optimal stock availability across regions.Monitor primary and secondary distribution efficiency to achieve sales and service targets.Design and optimize the distribution network including warehouses, distributors, and logistics partners.Ensure balanced inventory allocation across regions to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.Monitor route planning, load optimization, and vehicle utilization for cost efficiency.Collaborate with sales, production, procurement, and logistics teams for seamless operations.Demand & Capacity PlanningDevelop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation and time horizons.Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and evaluate forecast results.Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile variances and refine forecast models.Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure accurate forecast inputs.Provide inputs to Supply Planning for developing inventory strategies for existing, new, and phase-out products.Manage capacity planning systems and provide analytical support to leadership.Lead capacity planning meetings and prepare activity reports for market leadership.Create and monitor weekly production plans considering forecast, stock, RM/PM readiness, and plant holidays.Allocate SKUs based on priority and machine compatibility to ensure capacity optimization.Conduct mid-week schedule reviews to adjust for breakdowns, urgent orders, or delays.Dispatch & CFA OperationsCoordinate weekly indents with Business Heads to create distribution and dispatch plans.Manage CFA operations including stock audits, resolving shortages, excesses, batch mismatches, and expiry issues.Resolve CFA-related SAP queries in coordination with IT support.Oversee QA release status and manage blocked stock at CFA locations.Coordinate with shipping teams across plants to ensure timely supply of finished goods to depots.MIS & Performance MonitoringTrack distribution KPIs (OTIF, fill rate, lead time, cost-to-serve, etc.).Prepare and circulate daily MIS reports (plant & depot stock, indent vs. dispatch, inventory days, FG aging).Analyze reports and highlight deviations to management.Generate dashboards and actionable insights for continuous improvement.Desired Candidate ProfileEducation: MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or equivalent.Experience: 8–12 years of experience in distribution planning, demand planning, logistics, and supply chain management, preferably in FMCG/Beverages.Proficiency in SAP (MM/SD/APO), ERP, Advanced Excel, Power BI.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and forecasting skills.Excellent communication, team leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high accountability.Key CompetenciesDistribution & logistics planningDemand forecasting & capacity planningProcess optimization & cost efficiencyMIS reporting & analyticsTeam management & cross-functional collaboration
