About youThe CRG Technical Transaction Team (TTT) team sits within and is a critical element of the 60+ person J.P. Morgan North American Oil and Gas Investment Bank. We are a part of the global oil and gas team with office in Houston. We are regularly involved with valuation, technical side and buy-side asset and corporate advisory roles in the upstream and midstream space, including supporting banking teams in IPOs, debt offerings, asset level evaluation of technical data, asset and corporate models and providing technical insight.We are looking to recruit an energetic Petroleum engineer who will work as a core member of J.P. Morgan's CRG TTT. This person will be responsible for technical evaluation of oil and gas assets through data analysis, Technical-Transaction analysis, decline curve creation, and asset/corporate company corporate model assisting in generating and preparing pitch materials and offering presentations.We're looking for highly motivated team players to be the future leaders of our business. Strong fundamental understanding of the oil and gas value chain as it relates to conventional and unconventional assets
Should be proficient in technical and technical evaluation of oil and gas assets
Should be proficient in technical data analysis and application to technical models
Should be proficient in technical data and data collection and amalgamation utilities (i.e. Enverus, IHS etc.)
Should be proficient in high quality global data analysis and application to technical models
Should possess logical aptitude for Python, VBA and R programming
Knowledge of financial markets and corporate finance
Ability to work independently and possess strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
