The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of logistics agreements and a strong network of transporters across road, sea, and air. The role includes managing end-to-end logistics processes, negotiating transporter contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing costs and timelines for inbound and outbound pharmaceutical shipments. Key Responsibilities: Transporter Management: Identify, onboard, and maintain strong working relationships with transporters for road, sea, and air freight. Evaluate and manage transporter performance based on KPIs like on-time delivery, quality of service, and cost efficiency. Contract & Agreement Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize logistics agreements with transporters, ensuring favorable terms and legal compliance. Ensure all logistics contracts are updated, renewed on time, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements. Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with procurement, production, quality, and warehouse teams to align transport schedules. Oversee and track shipments to ensure timely and safe delivery of materials and finished goods. Cost Optimization: Analyze logistics costs and work on strategies to optimize freight expenditure while maintaining service levels. Leverage market knowledge and transporter relationships to secure competitive freight rates. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all transportation activities comply with pharma regulations (including GDP/Cold Chain where applicable). Manage logistics documentation including AWBs, BLs, permits, and other compliance documents. Crisis & Risk Management: Resolve issues related to delays, damages, or transport disruptions. Maintain contingency plans for transport route disruptions and logistics emergencies.
