We work to international design standards and regulations, ensuring our contributions meet the highest benchmarks of quality and innovation.At GDSC, you'll be empowered to collaborate across borders, grow your expertise, and make a meaningful impact on infrastructure and development projects that shape communities worldwide.As part of GDSC in India, you will be working alongside Mott MacDonald international colleagues delivering ambitious projects across a broad range of building types including commercial, residential, retail and offices, education, healthcare, airports, data center, hotels, sports and events venues, and Metro & stations. Under this sector, our services span the whole asset cycle from advisory to consulting, through design and delivery, to asset management. With deep understanding of all phases of the building lifecycle, it enables us to give our clients the best-informed engineering and innovative solutions.Role:We are looking for a visionary leader to manage projects across global markets. The role involves driving project delivery, bid support, and business excellence, while inspiring teams, mentoring talent, and fostering innovation. Strong client engagement and strategic thinking are essential to ensure quality outcomes and long-term partnerships.Reporting to a senior member in Buildings sector, role holder will be responsible for delivering below outcomes as part of GDSC in India:Key Responsibilities:

Do design calculations and quantity estimation.
Ensure all design work is carried out in accordance with Company's quality standard procedures.
Ensure checking of all design output and seamless coordination between other sections/disciplines.
Lead design team for completing deliverables within time limits.
Effective task management through performance management of design engineers and CAD Technicians.
Ensure accountability and delivery as also profitability by monitoring design cost.
Actively share knowledge and experience with other staff in the section and organization particularly to help coach and develop more junior staff.
Have good experience in District cooling plant design
Have awareness and working knowledge in big water cooled chillers
Have awareness and working knowledge of ETS stations, condenser cooling system, cooling towers --etc
Have good knowledge of chiller controls and refrigerant leakage systems
Have good knowledge of DCP piping and control flow diagrams
Have awareness of Thermal storage tanks and optimisation of DCP efficiency
Have awareness of DCP monitoring and control through SCADA
Have good knowledge of Chilled water supply & return piping system and controls

Key Capabilities :

Minimum qualification of B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering discipline.
Minimum 15+ years working experience in HVAC design, in roles of increasing responsibility and project complexity.
CEng and a member of the IET or CIBSE (Preferably)
Have experience in high rise buildings/shopping malls/hotels/metro projects etc.
Be proficient in HVAC software like HAP, HEVACOMP, etc, for calculating space cooling and heating loads, ducting, and piping design, equipment selection, ventilation systems etc.
Should be experienced in smoke extraction system, car park/kitchen ventilation system, stair wall pressurization etc.
Be well versed in reviewing and checking of drawings and calculations.
Have experience preparation of reports such as design basis, concept, schematic etc., and technical specifications.
Have good awareness and knowledge in developing BOQ.
Have familiarity with local authority codes and regulations such as of local Municipality, Civil Defence, Environmental Authority of countries in which the candidate has job experience.
Have good knowledge of relevant international codes and regulations such as ASHRAE/CIBSE/BS/BSEN/BSRIA etc.,
Experience working on international projects.
Have knowledge in sustainable, green building design practices and rating guidelines.
Be able to handle design independently and lead a team of Engineers and technicians/modellers and do time and resource management.
Have good oral and written communication skills and liaise with clients directly.
