Power Solutions & Vestas Quality VPS Region APAC Power Plant Solutions APAC The team monitors all grid aspects during the sales/construction/Service phase of the projects in APAC. Working with a team of engineering professionals across the region working closely with other cross-functional teams delivering realistic and compliant grid solutions. The role will encompass technical and stakeholder management from presales all the way to service on multiple projects. Responsibilities Assessing the performance, efficiency, and reliability of balance of plant systems specific to renewable energy projects. Identifying and resolving issues and inefficiencies within the balance of plant systems. This involves diagnosing problems, conducting root cause analysis, reviewing document, and coordinating with other teams.. Review of Balance of Plant (BoP) design, drawing and document submissions from subcontractors against industry best practice, law, international and local standards, in addition to Vestas' contractual and interfacing requirements from the perspective of grid connection. Support power system studies to define the wind farm generator performance standards and to develop the wind farm control system functional design specification and reactive plant requirements. Coordinate activities with the grid modelling department. Simulation and modelling of the wind Power Plant including WTG, PV and storage. Ensure grid connection deliverables required to be submitted by Vestas are provided in a timely, safe and high-quality manner. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure grid connection issues are resolved in a timely manner. Engage and support consultant when required. Research and prepare formal responses to inquiries regarding wind farm technical performance. Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customer. Attend and provide input to various safety, design, technical and risk meetings, workshops and reviews. Documentation and Reporting- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and document all grid connection activities, milestones, and outcomes. Review grid connection documents. Qualifications Electrical engineering (power systems knowledge) with minimum 2-5 years' experience. Competencies Practical mindset with the ability to identify and solve problems. Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.. Experience in working together with international stakeholders. Must have experience with Cymcap, Cymgrd ,PSCAD, PSSe or Powerfactory. Experience in the electricity generation sector. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively. Experience in wind and or other renewable industry is desired.
