Job Description: About the Role: As the Plant Head, you will play a crucial role in leading the operational excellence and strategic direction of our Bangalore plant. This position requires a dynamic and experienced leader who can drive the plant towards achieving its objectives across five primary work areas: Quality, Production, Cost, Delivery, and Safety & Systems. Reporting directly to the founders, you will be responsible for setting up strong foundations and processes, ensuring the plant's efficient and effective operation. Key Responsibilities: Quality (Q): Implement and maintain high-quality standards, ensuring compliance with FSSC 22000, BRC, and NPOP/NOP Organic certifications. Oversee quality control processes and systems to meet both domestic and international market demands. Production (P): Manage the production operations for both sections of the plant, ensuring operational efficiency, product excellence, and innovation in processing techniques. Cost (C): Develop and control the plant's budget, optimizing costs without compromising on quality and efficiency. Implement cost-saving initiatives and monitor financial performance. Delivery (D): Ensure timely production and delivery of products, managing supply chain logistics to meet domestic and international orders efficiently. Safety & Systems (S): Foster a safety-first culture, implementing and overseeing strict safety protocols and systems. Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Specific Responsibilities: Planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations to deliver business expectations. Ensuring the delivery of volume, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards Responsible for all business metrics - Cost, Quality & Delivery Responsible for all plant efficiencies and negotiations, Process improvements, Yields of all plants and training of the executives. Accountable for Budget preparation & Its compliance in the operation. Ensuring the compliance of Internal control policies Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets Accountable for implementation & continued of Quality & Safety policies & system. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus to achieve the plan. Leading the factory projects to create future capabilities & technological upgradations. Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff Address employees' issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements Understand customer and industry trends to formulate product and manufacturing strategies Staying up to date with the latest production trends, technology, best practices and Plant Safety Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred. 7+ years of relevant experience in food processing/manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing a plant. Proven track record of achieving production targets, cost optimization, and quality standards. Extensive knowledge of FSSC 22000, BRC, and organic certification processes (NPOP, NOP). Strong leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and report directly to the company founders. Skills: Excellent organizational and leadership abilities. In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of integrity and professionalism. Proactive, with a focus on continuous improvement.
